I am a certified call center agent for 3 weeks and I enjoyed a lot. I experienced all the feelings such as nervousness, happy and depressed some of the time, because sometimes I failed assessments and I need to retake it.
Being in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry helps you a lot in English language particularly grammars, construction of thoughts, enunciation and the like. In BPO, they will develop one of the important values, empathy. Empathy is always being emphasized by our trainers because it will help you to become the best Customer Service Representative.
BPO is includes pressure because every day or every week they will give assessments to you. They will provide you with good income but it includes problems of a particular customer. Sometimes they will yell at you, and for others it’s degrading because some are educated like other Customer Service Representative are registered nurses, engineers, architect and the like that's why others technique is to mute their phones for a second just to shout out loud their anger.
BPO will not be as the best career for all but this job will give you a good salary and for us Filipinos we are not having difficulties to apply in this kind of industry. Call center agents are the assets of the company. Are you in doubt about that fact? For your information, Agents makes the company’s revenue increase. Why? It is because most of the agents are the one who sells the product, maintains rapport to the customers, answers queries and concerns and the one who will resolve the problem of the client. With all of that roles, company and customer maintains a harmonious relationship.
As of today, I am not sure of passing the Product Specific Training but I will do my best for the rest of the days. For me, my wave was cool because they always joking around and prevent the class to experience boredom. We are looking forward to pass this training so no one will be left behind.
